POLITICAL FOUNDATION
Every person is unique.
All people are different, live their lives differently and
experience the world differently. A society's humanity is measured by
the degree to which it protects the diversity of each individual and
every minority. It is society's duty to cherish and protect freedom of
diversity, and that freedom is best protected by ensuring complete and
unqualified equality before the law, not just in name, but also in fact.
It is the duty of the state to unconditionally guarantee
the right of every citizen to a dwelling place, medical assistance and
the necessary resources to maintain a dignified existence. It is the
responsibility of the state to ensure that nobody suffers want, that
work is allocated to those seeking work on the basis of equality, and
that everybody has equal access to education.
Every person is an equal part of society.
Prologue
The Minority Party is a humanist party, which fights for
cultural diversity, social justice and equal rights for all within the
borders of Denmark.
An inclusive Denmark, without homelessness or poverty, a
society and culture characterised instead by tolerance, solidarity and
caring.
A Denmark free of discrimination, regimentation and
surveillance, a society and culture characterised instead by its
humanity, its freedom and its diversity.
A Denmark without the centralisation of capital, without
Euro-centrism or the abuse of political power, a society and culture
characterised instead by the just distribution of its wealth, greater
individual autonomy and decentralisation in general.
The Minority Party wishes to unite the various minorities
and ostracised sections of society in mutual understanding, freedom of
diversity, and a joint cultural showdown, from immigrants and refugees,
to the elderly and sick, the poor and the disenfranchised.
Politics
1) The right to be different abolish
discrimination and inequality before the law
We wish for a society with equal rights and equal protection under the
law for all its citizens, with universal suffrage, with equal
distribution of social benefits, with unconditional freedom of speech
and expression with accountability, and with equality before the law for
everybody within the borders of the state the same punishment for
the same crime and no deportation of any person with an affiliation to
Denmark.
2) Meaningful employment abolish forced labour
and reduce working hours
We wish for a general reduction in working hours and the allocation of
meaningful employment to all those seeking work, on the basis of
equality, with equal pay for equal effort and equality of status between
the sexes.
3) Basic income - abolish poverty
We wish for a basic income as an unconditional, tax-free minimum payment
to all, in place of personal tax-free allowances and all welfare
payments - and to guarantee every citizen a secure and dignified basis
for existence.
4) Society's responsibility - abolish the neglect
and disempowerment of the elderly, the weak and the infirm
It is our wish that living conditions in our institutions for the
elderly, the sick, the mentally ill and the disabled, are optimised
through increased resources, additional personnel, a less clinical
atmosphere and a drastic reduction in the use of forced medication and
forced restraint, to be used only in cases of absolute necessity; just
like there should always be a choice between help in one's own home and
residence in an institution.
5) The right to a dwelling place - abolish
homelessness and the housing shortage
We wish for all forms of homelessness, as well as the housing shortage
in general to be abolished, and inflated rental costs to be reduced by
increased construction of new housing, so that the supply is always
greater than the demand.
6) Decentralisation of the decision-making process -
abolish Eurocracy
We wish for the decision-makers as well as the decision-making processes
to be more attentive to the wishes of the people whose lives they
influence, in sharp contrast to the ever-increasing concentration of
power within the European Union, where the individual is lost in a
corrupt, self-sufficing bureaucracy with super-power ambitions.
7) Integration with a multicultural goal - abolish
the marginalisation of immigrants
We wish for a dignified integration process and a normalisation of the
country's newly developing cultural tendencies, with amongst other
things, the following decisive elements: The right of instruction in the
use one's own mother tongue as well as Danish, respect and consideration
for immigrant cultures and freedom to take up residence, circumstances
permitting, in a place of one's own choosing, and not at the dictate of
the authorities.
8) Asylum for the persecuted - abolish the
criminalisation of asylum-seekers without ID
People in dire need who arrive at these shores, with or without identity
papers, shall have their cases processed by competent lawyers within
three months of their arrival, and with the possibility of appeal for
the decision to be reviewed by a separate group of lawyers
9) Reduce defence spending - abolish conscription
We wish for a defence force with fewer soldiers, fewer weapons and fewer
expenses, with voluntary service instead of conscription and the
complete exclusion of Danish military intervention in the internal
conflicts of other countries.
10) Better hospitals and complete subsidisation of
medication expenses - abolish waiting lists
We wish for a hospital service with more staff and the capacity to
abolish waiting lists in all areas, as well as complete subsidisation of
all prescription medicine, plus all elderly and sickness-related aid
products
11) Free choice of kindergartens and increased
numbers of child-minders per child - abolish waiting lists along with
the obligation to place one's children in an institution
We wish for freedom of choice between available kindergartens as well as
freedom to take care of one's own children in the home for those parents
who choose to do so - and this freedom of choice, a long with an
increased number of child-minders per child, shall establish markedly
improved conditions for both children as well as child-minders.
12) Openness and transparency - abolish political
surveillance and the registration of personal convictions and social
circumstances
We wish to make public all information concerning hitherto intelligence
activity and abolish any and all future surveillance by the intelligence
services, as well as any potential casting of suspicion through
registration or the synchronisation of existing registers, not least
because the registration of individuals' or groups of individuals'
political affiliations, as well as their social and economic
circumstances have been abused in the past and continually run the risk
of being abused.
13) Religious freedom - abolish privileges of state
church
We wish for equality of status between the various religions as a
prerequisite for genuine religious freedom, so that state and church are
separated, favouring no one religion to the detriment of any other.
14) Free access to education - abolish access
limitations in institutions of higher education and open the doors to
everybody
It is our wish that all instruction in institutions of higher education
be open to as many people as possible, whether they wish to sit exams or
not and independent of formal qualifications, as well as that the right
to sit the relevant exams be enjoyed by all who follow the courses,
though without this effectuating any deterioration in the quality of
instruction or the level of examination.
15) Greater priority to the environment - abolish
economic advantages of pollution
We wish to support a vibrant and healthy environment, extra taxes on the
most environmentally damaging products and tougher sanctions against
those who pollute than is the case today - not only fines sufficiently
high enough to cover the cost of cleanup operations, but also the
effective penalisation of offenders.
16) Genuine right to strike - abolish government
intervention in labour agreement disputes
We wish for the right to strike to be a right, not just in name, but
also in fact, so that employers and unions have complete sovereignty in
deciding the outcome of labour agreement disputes without government
intervention.
17) Everybody is innocent until proven guilty -
abolish the use of solitary confinement
We wish for the imprisonment of people on remand to be avoided as far as
possible, for the use of solitary confinement to be totally abolished,
for lay judges and jurors to be chosen randomly not politically and for
the judiciary to be expanded so that an accused can appear before a
court of law a few days after investigations have been completed -
furthermore, in deference to the victims, sentences in cases where
personal injury or death is concerned, should take effect immediately
after being handed down by the court.
18) A sentence served is a new beginning - abolish
criminal records
It is our wish that any and every sentence, once served, should mark a
final end to society's demand for retribution, facilitating a new
beginning, not just in name, but also in fact, with criminal records
being held by the police only in cases of very serious crime and only
for periods of up to five years, though under no circumstances ever
being made available to any other individual, authority, agency,
employer or the like, with the sole exception of the individual
concerned.
19) Genuine aid to developing countries - abolish
the support for western capital interests in the Third World
We wish for Denmark to contribute with an actual one percent of its GDP
in aid to developing countries, and that this aid should not be
encumbered with stipulations or clauses to the advancement of western
capital interests, but constitute a non-repressive initiative towards
cooperation and development, which has as its only goal, the improvement
of living conditions for the under-privileged populations of the
relevant countries.
20) Let the rich enrich the poor - abolish
discrimination by taxation
We wish for a tax system with fewer deductions and fewer privileges for
the wealthy, so that every form of overabundance is channelled to and
benefits as many people as possible.
